The Hualapai tribe has chosen tourism to develop its economic independence. Included in Hualapai Tourism is Grand Canyon West, plus Hualapai River Runners and Lodge. Just 120 miles east of Las Vegas, Grand Canyon West is home of the Skywalk, the glass walkway 4,000 feet above the canyon floor. The Skywalk offers multiple viewpoints of the canyon and the Colorado River. The area also includes a Native American Village with multiple authentic tribal dwellings and Native American live performances. This is the only place in the entire Grand Canyon to take a helicopter flight 4,000 feet below for a boat ride on the river. Also located at Grand Canyon West is the Hualapai Ranch, with cowboy hospitality, entertainment, horseback and wagon rides, and overnight canyon-facing cabins. The Hualapai Lodge on Historic Route 66 is a perfect point for Grand Canyon activities, particularly Hualapai River Runners, the only one-day Grand Canyon whitewater rafting trip. Come take part in the Hualapai Legacy.
