SIGHTSEEING

There’s a reason that sightseeing is such a content-rich category of this website.
While here on your Grand Canyon National Park vacation, you will be treated to astounding sights in every direction. Awe-inspiring sights are truly everywhere you look. In fact, there’s no escaping them!

From the many great overlooks along the South Rim, as well as the grand overlooks from the North Rim, which is 1,000 feet higher in elevation than the South Rim, you’ll look into the great abyss that is one mile deep in some places, and that stretches 277 miles.

Although embarking on hikes into the Canyon’s interior will afford unmatched vistas, visitors who aren’t up for hiking, or who have limited time, do not fret. There is plenty to see from the car, and only a few steps from your car. The average stay for Grand Canyon visitors is only 4 hours. That alone should tell you: you can see a lot with very little effort.

That said, we don’t recommend it. You will only fully experience this grandest of places if you allow yourself adequate time and a variety of experiences.
From a scenic drive, a ride on the Grand Canyon Railway, a helicopter flight, a jeep tour,  a visit to a national monument or other unique stop, in this section we share with you the many different ways you can sightsee in Grand Canyon National Park and the surrounding regions.
