4 Steps to Planning a Grand Canyon Vacation

Step 1: Sign up for your Free Trip Planning Kit. You’ll receive a Grand Canyon vacation guide, brochures, coupons, and emails that will help you plan your trip.

Step 2: Decide how you’ll travel to the park. Most people do a road trip vacation either starting from home or a large airport. Make the trip to the park a fun one by stopping at attractions on the way. Once you get to the park, you’ll need a vehicle, bike, or tour transportation to get around, or during vacation season you can ride the park shuttles.

Step 3: Reserve your hotel or campsite. Depending on what time of year you are visiting the Grand Canyon, you’ll want to reserve lodging from one month to one year in advance.

Step 4: Before you go, check our pages about Grand Canyon weather and gear so you can pack for the elements. You will need a jacket and a good pair of shoes no matter what season you are visiting in.

We know you’ll have a wonderful time!
