Located on the eastern border of Scottsdale, Ariz., you’d never guess you’re in a city when you visit the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and their Talking Stick Entertainment District. It’s filled with small-town charm.

At the Huhugam Ki Museum, you can learn about the Salt River Pima and Maricopa people who live in and manage the 52,600 acre sovereign community and how their culture shapes the world around you. Then, visit the USS Arizona Memorial Gardens where you can learn about the attack on Pearl Harbor and even see a real piece of the USS Arizona boat house up-close.
