Things to Do in the Grand Canyon
Plan Your Activities Around Your Choice of Rim
The Grand Canyon has three rims of which are hours apart. Every part of the Grand Canyon is great for hiking. You can also find most activities at all the rims.
The South Rim is the most popular tourist destination. It has the most scenic overlooks and has the only biking trails and rentals in the national park. The Grand Canyon Airport in Tusayan, Arizona is a popular launch for helicopter and airplane tours.
The North Rim has a short season but it is known for its remote overlooks and mule rides. The famous Lees Ferry boat and rafting launch is northeast of the North Rim near Page, Arizona.
Grand Canyon West is where the Grand Canyon Skywalk is located. It’s also a popular helicopter and rafting tour departure location.
