Yavapai Point

This overlook a short stroll from Grand Canyon Village on the South Rim is an easy place to set up a telescope and watch the stars. If you can, shoot for November 28, 2013, when the comet ISON is predicted to swing closer to the sun.

Lipan Point

Hit this Desert View Drive spot on the South Rim for sparkling-clear views of the Milky Way and constellations.

North and South Rims During Star Parties

The entire park becomes an observatory during the annual Star Party, when volunteers set up scopes and offer free astronomy programs to visitors.
