Grand Canyon rafting flip at Grapevine Rapid at low water, March 2014. Watch as the raft overturns at 0:49. Luckily no one was hurt. I'm sure their adrenaline was pumping. The crew that filmed this remarked that the water was very low making the rapids more hazardous.
James Li commented, "It was very low water. All the oarsmen with prior Grand experience (as many as 12 prior trips) had not seen it that low and remarked many of the rapids became more technical to run due to the additional rocks that were exposed. I didn't show the post-flip events but they occurred pretty much as you suggested. The following boat pushed the flipped boat into the first eddy on river right, we anchored the boat to shore with a throw line, then half of our group (seven total) clipped on flip lines to the boat and righted it. In our post-flip debriefing, Mark commented that he neglected to take a throw line with him when he jumped to the flipped boat. However, he caught the throw line that was thrown from shore once the flipped boat was pushed into the eddy."
