Where to Eat at Grand Canyon’s North Rim

Find out where to have a sit-down meal, where to grab a drink and where you can get a coffee bright and early at Grand Canyon National Park’s North Rim.

While the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park is more remote than the popular South Rim, there’s still plenty of options when it comes to mealtime in this area. Less-crowded than its sister rim to the south, the North Rim boasts equally stunning views along with cooler temperatures and beautiful coniferous forests. When it comes time to eat, you have four options on the North Rim: Grand Canyon Lodge at North Rim’s Main Dining Room, Deli in the Pines, Roughrider Saloon and the Coffee Saloon. All of these eateries are located in the Grand Canyon Lodge at North Rim’s main lodge at the end of Hwy. 67.

Enjoy an Upscale Meal at the Grand Canyon Lodge at North Rim’s Main Dining Room

Don’t miss having a meal in the beautiful historic dining room in the Grand Canyon Lodge at North Rim. You can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner surrounded by rustic chandeliers, stone walls and wooden beams in the ceiling. Huge windows give diners expansive views of the canyon, and the menu features regional dishes alongside menu items from the 1930s. You’ll find a commitment to responsible ingredients on the menu with free range poultry and seafood that has the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch seal of approval for sustainable fishing. The menu has options for vegetarians, vegans and those who are gluten-free.

Reservations are strongly recommended for dinner and should be made as soon as they become available in February each season. Want a truly magical experience? Check what time the sun is setting and coincide your reservation with it to enjoy watching through the windows as the canyon’s incredible colors transform. Breakfast and lunch are first-come, first-served but if there’s a wait, head out to the deck to relax in an Adirondack chair and take in views of the canyon. Breakfast is served from 6:30 a.m. – 10 a.m., lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., and dinner is served from 4:30 p.m. – 9:45 p.m.

Grab a Quick Lunch at Deli in the Pines at the North Rim

If you’re looking for something more casual, try Deli in the Pines. This grab-n-go and casual eatery is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Here, you’ll find an assortment of grab-n-go items like sandwiches and salads, along with snacks to fill your backpack. If you’re looking for a hot or made-to-order meal, Deli in the Pines also has both hot and cold sandwiches, whole pizzas as well as slices, soup and chili. All meals here are served carry-out style so you can enjoy them in the fresh air.

Open from 11:30 a.m. – 11 p.m., daily, you can pull up a stool at the rustic bar or grab a table to enjoy a drink from the full bar. Beer, wine, cocktails and soft drinks are also available to-go so that you can take them outside and enjoy views of the canyon from the patio. Assorted snacks are also available here.

Fuel Up at the Coffee Saloon

From 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. every morning, the Roughrider Saloon turns into the Coffee Saloon to provide you with coffee, hand-made espresso beverages and breakfast items.
